Review: Piggy Paint Kid-Friendly, Eco-Friendly Nail Polish

This is a review of Piggy Paint, a natural, eco-friendly fingernail polish that’s supposed to be great for kids. The company says it is odorless, hypoallergenic, and “natural as mud.”

We tried a triple pack called “Piggy Paint Nail Polish, Forever Fancy, Girls Rule, and Sequin” that came with three colors: Blue, Purple, and Pink, along with a small finger nail file.

Buying Piggy Paint & Getting a Great Price

You can purchase this direct from the company, on Amazon, and on Walmart. For this particular set, Walmart.com had the best price, if you bundled it with a larger purchase and got free shipping. We also purchased Piggy Paint natural fingernail polish remover, so it was a good deal to get them both at the same time, if you have enough other stuff to order to get the free shipping. Otherwise, Amazon Prime has great prices with free shipping for individual items, and you can get party bundles and add-on deals from PiggyPaint.com.

4 out of 5 Stars
Piggy Paint is a non-toxic, eco-friendly, kid-friendly finger nail polish that comes in fun and funky colors, perfect for your little one to enjoy on their first mani or pedi. I selected this polish for my toddler's first manicure and pedicure and loved how easy it was to apply. It did not seem to give off any odor and coated well. The flat color seemed to cover best and had a full and professional look, just like my own grown-up manicure. I didn't love the sparkly color as much, but the tone was also harder to see on her skin, so that probably comes down to personal preference and color selection. The drying time was also relatively fast. We followed the manufacturer's recommended procedure of setting the nails with a low-heat, low-volume hair drier and it did pretty well. We did get a few smudges when putting on her pajamas about 10 minutes after painting, but it was a toddler's first manicure, so that's to be expected! The trickiest part is just keeping your toddler from getting polish everywhere before it dries! But good news there too; the bit she rubbed off on her shirt peeled right off and did not seep into the fabric so it didn't cause any damage to her clothes. Now we will just see how well it wears!
